Voluntary Partners

The Cumbria Voluntary Agencies Committee's aim to create arrangements between voluntary agencies and local responders/emergency planners to improve Cumbria's preparedness for major emergencies.

The objectives of the Cumbria Voluntary Agencies Committee (CVAC) are as follows:-

1.) To build trust and confidence between the voluntary agencies and Cumbria's emergency planning/response community.

2.) To develop a consistent approach to emergency planning and the efficient, co-ordinated and practical response to emergencies across Cumbria.

3.) To develop and maintain agreed local partnerships and thus create sustainable arrangements which are effective across the whole of Cumbria.

4.) To gather an understanding of agency capability, and the services voluntary agencies offer.
